Following two exciting Grand Prix races in Azerbaijan and Singapore, we have witnessed McLaren's new dominance with Australian driver Oscar Piastri claiming victory in Azerbaijan and Lando Norris showcasing a brilliant performance in Singapore, finishing over 20 seconds ahead of his closest rival Max Verstappen with an impressive pace!
As we approach the United States Grand Prix in approximately 20 days, one thing is clear! If Lando Norris aims to secure the Championship (with a 52-point gap separating him from the current leader Max Verstappen), he must deliver a flawless end to the season to potentially claim the ultimate prize. It's worth noting that Max Verstappen only needs to finish the remaining races in second place to clinch the title!

For this year Grand Prix Lando Norris coming with the maximum confidence in the car!
In Singapore McL and RedBull were quickest in the fastest corner (best downforce), and slowest in the straights (most drag)

-The United States Grand prix is quite different from the last two event, The course is 5,513 metres long, with twenty bends. One of its special features is that it runs counter-clockwise. In the Formula 1 World Championship, only the circuits in Singapore, Korea, Istanbul, Interlagos and Abu Dhabi are like this.
The second special feature of this layout is that it takes a number of well-known bends from existing circuits: The first bend, which is on a gradient, is inspired by the first bend of the Red Bull Ring, bends 3 to 6 repeat the Maggots-Becketts-Chapel sequence of the Silverstone circuit, bends 7 to 9 repeat the S of Senna of the Interlagos circuit, bends 13 to 15 repeat the entrance to the stadium of the Hockenheim circuit and bends 16 to 18 resemble the quadruple-left of the Istanbul Park circuit.
Finally, the third special feature of this circuit is its gradient. At 40.5 metres, it is the third most uneven circuit in the Formula 1 World Championship, behind Spa-Francorchamps and Suzuka. Because of this difference in height, the hairpin at Turn 1 is the circuit's ‘signature’, with a steep climb leading up to the bend followed immediately afterwards by a steep descent.
Technical side and info
Just a quick reminder that the FIA advised McLaren to ensure their rear wing complies with the regulations! They were using a rear wing that was too flexible, causing complaints from other teams. This flexibility, as seen during the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, acted like a mini DRS, giving them a speed advantage of over 20 km/h on the straights and enabling Piastri to maintain the lead over Leclerc.
McLaren successfully developed a high downforce car for the Singapore race, leading to good tire degradation and allowing Norris to attack aggressively. As we move forward, let's observe how McLaren copes with a relatively fast circuit with high tire degradation, which typically results in three pit stops. Teams will need to strike a balance between downforce and straight-line speed, paying close attention to the DRS effect.

Was it a good decision from Racing bulls to drop him before the end of the season ?

As you may already know, Daniel Ricciardo has been released by Racing Bull due to the aftermath of the singapore Grand Prix post-race interview, and he has been replaced by Liam Lawson from New Zealand. Lawson, who had a successful stint with Racing Bull (Alpha Tauri) in 2023, proved to be faster than Ricciardo and on the same level with Yuki Tsunoda. However, this success was achieved with a different car that performed well. This year, Racing Bull Racing is facing challenges with their car, experiencing significant understeer, lack of straight-line speed, and overall poor performance.
The New SENSATION Franco Collapinto !
The new comer Argentinian who only have now three grand prix on his belt will be scrutinized by the all F1 Paddock as he showed real speed and a high risk taker which brought him the praise of Mexican Driver Checo Perez during the Singapore Stage. If he continue at this rate it may be Williams who will regret to have signed Sainz too soon at high fee when they had a real talent behing the garage !
